Rule of the unschooled

Read this yesterday and have been livid since. which gods did we offend to be so lumbered? ASUU is on strike o, the universities are dump sites o. primary school children have learnt to bribe teachers to get into class o and the legislators say we have nothing to spend the education budget on? There really is fire on the mountain and nobody seem to be on the run.

Read snippets of the linked post earlier and I was equally livid. Whoever heard of cutting budgets for education and health when these are the very same sectors that require more funding.
The Nigerian perspective is very funny: tear down the already dilapidated health centres, refuse to pay the ASUU lecturers or fund university research and build a 10-lane road from the airport.
God helps us and this mountain fire...

omo aunt Funmi. It's funny where we are heading to.. Infact are we really heading anywhere?I think our leaders are not just to blame, but I think it is the system we Nigerians have allowed for ourselves. Now, we are angry, and complaining about the same thing we permitted in the first place!God help us!

I'm always puzzled when it comes to what is expected of the fastest growing developing country that is in ruin because the lack of structure to begin with. I concur that the mindset of its population ought to change but at the same time the leaders are not in such a hurry to support positive change...so yeah God Help Us! we can't all run away, some have got to live in the mess called home.

am tired of hearing of Nigeria's problems.although, there is little we can do to help our nation... we seem not to be doing anything at all.build a small school in ur hood.teach children moral values instead of complaining about poor govt.support .and can you imagine little girls using vocabs like 'sexy'...'fxxken worry'.or even dancing like strippers.

Too bad for the nation's progress. I think this is a very wonderful development you just mentioned.

What do you think about this article on this site: http://www.facebook.com/ext/share.php?sid=103835034916&h=YBnBz&u=m-tl5&ref=nf

My point of interest is sequel to your past responses to dress code talked about by the legislators.

After a man as been deceived severally, he gradually learns to understand the rules of the “game”! That means the game will soon go sour. - Samson Alonge.
We are all product of the unschooled, selfish, and gullible system. I remember how our parents have to through the eye of the needle to make sure that we have good education by all force! But the very people who create this system for our generation are all product of free education during the western union system. I can imagine how short man’s memory can be? I think we know better now. I mean it is time to fight the system by learning to do things right in our own little ways and be consistent in doing so. I believe gradually we will kill the system (beast) they created.

I agree with Damy, you get what you pay for. As long as we, the people continue to tolerate this kind of shabby governance, then we cannot really complain can we?

The Nigeria situation! I could liken it to a peaceful mountain on fire when white men were being kidnapped. Nobody ran!

Nigerians are now being kidnapped. It's suddenly on your marks!

It would soon be run run run when the inevitable starts to happen.
