This was one of those ongoing numerous congratulatory adverts for Mr. president and any other new person in power. I am speechless.

*stares with mouth wide open, sits down, calls flatmate to come and see also, flatmate lol, scratches head and moves onto another thing*

This goes to show that even among Nigerian literates, there are still peeps that are so deeply rooted in stupidity, mediocrity and archaic.

This is shameful and silly. This speaks volumes to the mentality of the sponsor and the publisher.

it's a lie!! this was not in a paper, it had to be on the road in katsina somewhere not in a national daily, come on say it a'int so! We need to go pay a visit to Chief Okeze, I mean there are some things u just don't do. This has taken arse kissing to a whole new level. Thanks for this, it made my day.

When I first saw the title, I said "Funmi don come again o, me i no go follow her crase". But when I read, I fully agreed. Either I'm so crazy such that I'm seeing double in that picture ... or everybody don crase, including the person wey dey the picture. Na Angel dey crown person now? So that means the person who did the crowning (the one who reloacted to Sango Otta)is an angel? Is that what the picture is trying to say?

he already has his own damn cap. redundant, redundant, redundant. nigeria is not a kingdom; it is a republic - a bloated republic that hobbles around on crutches, but a REPUBLIC nonetheless. doubly redundant.

p.s. my eyesight is awful! what does the writing top right say?

...also, if the crown was custom-made, it's bound to fit*. it's common sense, really. leave God and the angels out of this.

*i don't care if he would've also had a landslide victory in a free and fair election. if a country of over 150 million can willfully elect such mediocrity, the end is most definitely nigh. if this is the best we can do, may God not let us do our worst.

p.s. @ africanloft: 'silly' is the word.

YOU ARE KIDDING ME RIGHT? SHAME, SHAME, SHAME. WHERE DID THIS SORT OF THING EMANATED FROM?

This is how it starts; you know, the loss of perspective.
When accolades are being heaped at your feet without you having done anything, then how wouudln't you loose touch with the realities of your responsibilities and imagine that you are more than you are?

What the....? I'm speechless...we truly don crase finish. Some people would do ANYTHING for a sweet position or contract...God help Nigeria.

Perhaps this says more than we think. In fact the poignancy should not be ignored. On one hand, there's the divine white creature from abroad/above who has such a deciding power in the Nigerian question. On the other hand, there is the representation format of the picture itself! Nigeria and its hidden mysteries!

Nigerians often give new leaders a free pass and wants to see a messiah in everyone of them...and here you have it. A messianic symdrome at work in a canvass!

Erm, am i the only one who noticed that the 'angel' is blonde haired and oyibo? So, does that mean he was hand-picked/chosen/pre-approved/vetted by the invisible hands of the West? Or our continued worship of all things oyibo/foreign.

Lol! This ad is sooo insightful we dont even realize it."Emancipate yourself from mental slavery..." easily comes to mind.
